Store up the Joy
At the end of each day, take a few minutes to note (and preferably, write down) 3 good things from your day. Some days are really great and you'll have difficulty choosing, but restrict yourself to 3 (and they don't have to be the best 3) and some days it will take a little more time, but there will be 3. They can be as big and significant as a fabulous party with friends or as small as a smile or kind word exchanged, or as mundane as a task completed. This simple technique breaks any habit of dwelling on the negative, and the more regularly you do it, the more adept you become at spotting the joy in your life. And, as time goes on, what a fantastic journal of happiness you'll have forever.
If you're willing to share - what are your 3 good things today?
