Come to your Senses!
The Sanskrit word "Yoga" can be translated as "Union" and can be interpreted in many ways. One of the simpler concepts is the union of mind, body and breath. Very often, as adults, we spend our time in a state of disconnection - our mind darts from the past to the future, remembering and planning, and rarely pauses in the present. Our body can only exist in the present. So take a little time each day to bring them both together. Simply stop wherever you are and pay attention to what your 5 senses are telling you. Take a few deep breaths and notice what you can, at that moment, see and hear and taste and smell and feel against your skin. Those moments, when the whole of "you" is in the same place and time, when you are Being, instead of Doing are restorative and refreshing. Enjoy!
